OVERVIEW
enrollcan is a website that simplifies the process for parents to search for and enroll their children in elementary schools and childcare facilities.
OBJECTIVE
Parents and Newcomers in Toronto face challenges in enrolling their children in elementary schools and/or childcare due to the spread of information away everywhere, lack of accessible information, complexity in applications, and language barriers. This project focuses on centralizing and simplifying this process, saving time, reducing confusion, and confident decision-making by providing a user-friendly platform, improving their experience, and accommodating proper educational choices for their children.

Validation concept survey
50% of 20 respondents agree with the concept of a centralized platform and access to supportive information for the Canadian Education System in Toronto.
66.7% of 20 respondents don't know other platforms with centralized concepts for the Canadian Education System in Toronto.
Social listening
- A Ukrainian refugee hired an agent to enroll her son in school because of the language barrier.
- A mother who has lived in Canada for fifteen years doesn't know that she can enroll her son in Before and After School Programs in childcare and gain supporting government programs.

A mother who recently moved to Toronto with her family. She has a five-year-old son. She is actively looking for a Before and After School Program for childcare and a school for her son to ensure that he gets a quality education.

ANALYSIS
Competitive Analysis
I have conducted a competitive analysis and reviewed the active website which serves school information and related education. With the analysis, I have identified the following gaps:
- There are only two competitors. It means there is still a market share gap
- The information covered only private schools while there are public schools, Catholic schools, and Montessori schools in the Canadian Education system.
- Although Canada uses two official languages, they serve only the English language.
- While various features and functions, their platforms are too complicated and overwhelming.
- Tracking enrollment process
- Opportunity to reach and engage by providing information via social media platforms.
DESIGN
Wireframe
I used Figma software to create a low-fidelity prototype and conduct usability testing. The prototype was designed to resemble the desktop screen with a width of 1,440 pixels. It consists of 38 pages listed below:
- Two homepage designs for guests and members
- Two "Find Schools" pages for guests and members
- Sign up and successfully sign up pages
- School listing page
- All possibilities for school selection to compare
- All possibilities for comparing three schools
- Information page for three schools
The main function is the comparison feature. Users can add up to three schools for point-by-point comparison and navigate to the full comparison page.
Prototype
The design responds to users' and market needs. Focusing on making the platform user-friendly, easy to access, and not too overwhelming
